Cross with Wings Quarter Sleeve

Another tribal armband cover up. We did this tattoo in two sessions and it took about 6 hours total to finish. It’s black and grey with the gems on the cross done in red. We drew the design on and did the outline in the first session then let that heal before doing a longer session for the shading and color. These are some of my favorite roses by the way. I like the realistic roses better than more cartoony style that you usually see on everydamnthing.

Some of the artists at Cat Tattoo in Addison told my client that this cover up would never work. Well, I did it and I did it for a fraction of what some people would’ve charged (that is if they thought they could have pulled it off in the first place).

Winged Lion

Black and grey winged lion 1/4 sleeve tattoo. The “R” design was created by the clients father (and the lion represents the grandfather if I remember correctly). He had it framed for a few years and brought it by for us to use in the design.

We used the “R” design as the base for the quarter sleeve. I made it have a stone effect and it represents the strong foundation created by the father with the lion standing over the “R” for the grandfather’s watchful and protective presence from his heavenly spirit form. (Hence the wings) We did this in one, 6 hour session.
